Sedona has a vibrant and expanding wedding industry. Because of this, there has been a growing need for a central place for vendors and brides to meet without having to travel to multiple locations. More importantly, brides needed the assurance of meeting a real person at a real place instead of relying solely on the internet or phone consultations.
There has also been a need for a comprehensive, online directory comprised of experienced professionals who have established businesses that provide exceptional services. This directory would need to be an invitation only short list of trusted vendors and venues with superb qualifications. It was vital for the directory and website to dispel the myth that no world-class talent was available in Sedona and that our city was an expensive destination choice. The website would also require lovely galleries, links, advice, frequent articles and fun information to interest the growing number of destination brides that frequent Sedona.
For well over a year, Sedona Bride Photography, Katrina Wallace and Andrew Mejia, along with Events By Show Stoppers, Ken Heflin and Jim Bullock, brainstormed an ingenious business model to address all the challenges of Sedona’s growing wedding industry. All of us, having worked for years in Sedona, quickly noticed that brides were gravitating towards the same vendors and businesses over and over again. More often than not, these were the same group of talented vendors with whom we too gravitated. It was no coincidence that brides were savvy and consistently recognized quality, value, experience and style as we did.
Our goals set, our business model complete and our invitation list of preferred members in place, the Sedona Wedding Studio officially came to fruition on July 1, 2009. Of those invited to join, 100% did so.
The Sedona Wedding Studio is located in beautiful West Sedona at 1710 West State Route 89A. Suite 2. Helpful resources are everywhere in the studio. Video, slide shows and photography showcase the talent of all the SWS members. Brides can listen to music selections by talented Sedona Wedding Studio musicians and even have make-up trials by studio make-up and hair artists. Catalogues, fabulous displays, merchandise, samples and more complete the Sedona Wedding Studio experience. After only one year, the studio required expansion because of its popularity, success and growing membership. With this group of talented Sedona artists and professionals, the Sedona Wedding Studio has become the undisputed hub of the Sedona wedding community!
